Common questions
Which languages does ArcheAge Chronicles support?
According to the Steam page: English, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Other languages have not been announced.
How much does the game cost?
It's buy-to-play; the price isn't known yet. There's no shop at the start of Early Access. Later there will be optional purchases for content, cosmetics and convenience, according to the producer never pay-to-win.
When does Early Access start?
Planned for the fourth quarter of 2026 on Steam; there's no exact date yet. Early Access is meant to last about 9 to 12 months.
Can I play on PlayStation or Xbox?
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S were announced at the 2024 reveal. Early Access starts on PC via Steam first; there's no date for consoles yet.
Does demo progress carry over?
No. Save data and progress from the demo do not carry over to Early Access.
Do I have to play PvP?
No. Fighting other players only happens in dedicated PvP channels. In standard channels players can't attack each other. You switch at a Nui Statue.
Can I choose my class's gender?
Not in Early Access; each class has a fixed gender. More choice is planned for later, starting with select classes.
How many classes are there?
Four: Warrior, Ranger, Berserker and Mage, each with two weapons. A third weapon per class is planned for the full release.
Can I play solo?
Yes. Dungeons can be done solo too; parties hold up to four. The world is still shared, with around 100 players per channel.
Which anti-cheat does the game use?
XIGNCODE3, which runs at kernel level. You have to accept the third-party licence agreement for it.
Does it run on Steam Deck, Linux or Mac?
Only Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) are officially supported. Whether the kernel anti-cheat works on Linux or the Steam Deck is not confirmed, so don't count on it.
Do I need an invite for the demo?
No. The demo is free for everyone on Steam; just download it from the Steam page.
