Launch and dates
Aion 2 Global launches on Monday, 5 October 2026, at 15:00 and is free-to-play. Before that, buyers of a Founder's Pack could play for five days in early access.

Daily tasks, login rewards and the daily Kina limit reset at 9:00 (8:00 in winter), weekly counters on Wednesdays at the same time.
Platform and access
- Windows PC only, via Steam or NC PURPLE. There is no console or mobile version for Global.
- Eight languages, including German. Full voice-over in English, Japanese and Korean.
- You play on the platform you bought on; Steam and PURPLE players share the servers.
- A controller works but is not officially supported. Linux and Steam Deck may run, but only Windows is officially supported.
- Global is not playable in 18 countries, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Korea and Taiwan. Korea and Taiwan have their own version.
Servers and factions
At your first login you choose region, faction and server. There is no region lock, but the choice is final: characters can’t move to another region later. For Germany, the closest region is Europe (Frankfurt data centre).
Every server belongs to exactly one faction. Each Elyos server is permanently paired with an Asmodian server, and those are exactly the opponents you meet in the Abyss and other cross-faction modes. NC adjusts the pairings from time to time to keep the factions balanced.

- Four character slots at launch, expandable to eight.
- Dungeon groups are formed across servers within the region, across factions too; an option limits the search to your own faction.
- Characters from early access can only transfer between early access servers.
- The tag is the first three letters of the server name. You need it to add friends on other servers, see Tips & tricks.

What unlocks when
Up to 45 the main story unlocks almost everything. If you follow it, you won’t miss anything. For the levels marked “about”, it’s a story quest and the level is its recommended level.

Trading and membership
- Direct trading between players is switched off on Global as a measure against bots. Trading happens through the market.
- The market opens at level 45. Only players with a membership can buy there.
- The Special Quai Membership costs 14.99 US dollars for 30 days and applies per server. So choose your server first, then pay.
Differences from the Asian version
Mechanics, formulas, classes and dungeon tactics match the Korean/Taiwanese version. Item level, rewards, growth values and economy are Global’s own. Global is designed to be slower and more down to earth.

Be careful with Asian guides. Global characters have fewer stats overall, so stat weights and “best in slot” lists from Korea don’t carry over one to one. If a guide quotes numbers that look a hundred times bigger: that’s usually combat power, not item level.
